The other day, I came across a post on IG. It was sort of a permission slip for self, written by Alex Mazerolle. You can check it out. Her words hit me in the heart. Why not turn to yourself for encouragement? Do you have something to say to yourself? Do you want to give yourself permission to do something? There's no better time than now :)
So, I've decided to write my own permission slip for me. Honestly, my eyes have been watering all day - this did not help that. But it helped, you know what I mean? Hope this open letter to myself can inspire you in some way <3
It's okay to not have anything to write about. Maybe you just don't have the words. There will be days like this, don't worry too much about it. Some of the things that you write can be just for you and you don't have to share it at all.
It's okay to be still. You'll find some of the answers you're looking for in the stillness. You need some rest, girl!
It's okay to play those chill beats for your clients during Reiki sessions.
It's okay to be sad. You've had your brave face on for so long. Take your time, but don't take ALL of your time in this feeling. You always have a choice.
It's okay to play. You can call a friend and make plans. Or you can take that tap class. You are allowed.
It's okay to celebrate yourself. You're pretty awesome, you've been working really hard.
It's okay to step away from the perceived standard of small business social media marketing. Keep trusting the signs with Une Chose Nouvelle, it's how you've gotten this far already.
It's okay to not text back RIGHT AWAY.
It's okay that you're still trying to figure out your exercise routine. That one yoga class a week will do for now. You can do more when you are ready to commit your time.
It's okay to feel all the feelings in a season of waiting. It is written, Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her (Luke 1:45 NIV). Hold on to that truth and trust that in the perfect timing, things will come to be.
Loving you always, Me
